One of my favorite hobbies is fly fishing and fly tying. So I thought I would put up a collection of links on the topic. I will add a link to my own 'Sport Fishing' web site, once I can update it a bit.

The Sage XP rods that I love so much are discontinued. But they have been replaced with the new Z-Axis Series. This look really nice and I am anxious to try one of these out. Yes, this is a Premium Fly Rod. But once you cast it, you understand that you truly do get what you pay for.

I am leaning toward the CLA #4 to match with my Sage XP 8 wt rod. It will hold a WF8 line plus 200 yards of backing. I already own a Ross Rhythm 2 reel which goes very well with my 5 wt rod.

A brand new Fly Fishing publication with a very comprehensive web site. I am considering a subscription. They do independent reviews, meaning they don't accept samples for review. They go out and buy items at retail. They also do not sell advertising so one can't say they favor their sponsors.

I found this article while shopping for a portable filtered water bottle. I don't ever want to run out of drinking water on a long wade while fishing in rivers.
