I was a little surprised when the instructions wanted me to used tie downs with basic tent stakes and didn't suggest bolting as an option. I purchased this canopy to sit create shade beside my pool. I did bolt the frame to the concrete. The frame is very thin aluminum, I would have like to have something stronger, thinking I would need it to survive storms, but maybe the low weight is helping it survive thus far. Installation isn't difficult, but does require an extra person and a ladder. I found it useful to use 2 other people." See less
