The words 'teen drama' carry a huge stigma with them. Most people will see it as something not worth bothering with. Shallow, fluffy, two-dimensional, lots of sex, drugs and booze and not much plot - at least, that was what I thought until I bought the first series on DVD and realised what I'd been missing out on. And if Series 1 was good, then so far, Series 2 is out of this world. Don't be fooled - this show is genius, giving even the most mainstream of quality television dramas a run for their money. Intelligently written dialogue, compelling storylines, well thought out and developed characters with depth and clever plot twists all contribute towards the making of this wonderful show. The critics have been falling over it and this is why. Only Skins could get away with a musical about Osama Bin Laden "blowing them away".
