Emerald is the green variety of the mineral beryl and one of the most highly prized of all the gems. Sapphire is the birthstone of September. The finest sapphires are considered to be the blue variety - specifically those from Burma and Kashmir, which are closest to the pure spectral blue. Sterling silver is a white, highly reflective precious metal composed of 925 parts of pure silver and 75 parts alloy, usually copper. Copper provides the silver with sufficient hardness and wearing qualities, as pure silver is sometimes considered too soft to be used or worn everyday. Sterling silver is used in a wide variety of jewelry for a beautiful polished look. See less

The stones get their uniquely round shape from years spent in the ocean being tumbled with sand and waves. Each hook features copper hardware, a solid hardwood back, and a completely unique stone. The stones are functional as well as beautiful - their round shapes won't deform coats or snag loose pieces of clothing as you walk by. For each stone "harvested" another rough quarry stone is "planted" in its place. In the same spirit, for each tree used for the backplates, ten times the number of trees are planted to conserve the future of our forests. Comes with mounting hardware for installation. This watermelon tourmaline and silver adjustable ring is classic, but original. Silva creates his jewelry through methods of carving, sawing, forming and soldering. Each of his works is a three-dimensional form with interactive parts, like the small beads on this ring. He uses a combination of rustic metals and sterling silver and stains them with herbed teas and coffee to add depth and character. And there is a faint relief of a vine carved around the band. The semi-precious pink and green stones are hand cut and polished under water. This jewelry shows attention to detail, craftsmanship and appreciation of unique aesthetics, which will surely be a cherished gift for anyone.
