Dopamine is a neurotransmitter of desire. It acts in the pleasure center of our brains and motivates us to desire pleasurable activities like eating, sleeping, and kissing. Dopamine works overtime when we are in love, giving us strong feelings of desire and passion. Novel, adventurous activities and eating chocolate also increase dopamine. This pendant is based on the dopamine molecule. It's about 1 1/4 inches long and made of solid sterling silver. It comes on an 18 inch black waxed cotton cord that closes with a sterling silver lobster clasp. I can make the cord any length (it looks cute as a 15-16 inch necklace on a girl). If you would prefer, I can include an 18inch silver chain instead of the leather chain. It is packaged in a recycled box and includes a information card about dopamine, making it a wonderful gift.
