Actually in the inflated world of things I no longer need to say these are worth "the price", as the price of another brand or type will be fairly close. That's oddly disconcerting. These are the markers that in teaching I take the time to stock for my 1st grade and arts programming. They retain their point fairly well,have richer color and provide a mark that is excellent in classroom needs. Framed work made with them does fade over time. Several pieces in the home by my children were made with them, but the works are fairly viable visually after ten or so years hanging, there is some fading. This is always the downside of water based color markers.But our children's art pieces still look fine on display even with that color loss, that's pretty great for markers. Markers like this give children a good bit of control. There is a tendency to hand younger ones fat crayons and bad paper, but if you work antithetically to that notion, good papers like Rives and Arches with better drawing... See less
