Designer Ilkka Suppanen understands this and was inspired by the ultimate cup, the Holy Grail, when designing the Everyday Holy Mug ($49). He wanted a mug that would look and work equally well with everything from lattés, cappuccino, espresso, tea, Chai and, er, wine. Out of all the monster-themed breakfast cereals I remember enjoying as a kid, I never got to try Boo Berry Cereal. I remember my mother wouldn't buy it because it was blue or because the ghost looked stoned and then it more or less vanished off store shelves entirely. It then became sort of an infamous cult cereal because of its rareness and there were always sightings of it by friends, but they could never prove it. Today it's back for sale ($25) again to a new generation of sugar addicted kids. Apparently blue food is now ok to eat again -- um, blueberries people! -- and it's also available as a strangely cool and certainly spooky Boo Berry Cereal Flavored Lip Balm ($5) as well. Now that I finally have the chance to taste Boo Berry Cereal for the first time after all these years, either in my bowl or while protecting my lips, I think I'll pass, because maybe Mom was right. Sure you can fill them at the tap, but if you have a well or use a municipal water system, you should still filter for contaminants like Chlorine, Mercury, Benzene, Cadmium, Copper, Tetrachloroethylene and Toluene. The chlorine added to "city" water especially concerns me, so I found a great new solution. The Cuisinart CleanWater - Water Filtration System ($149) is the perfect countertop pure water dispenser. Simply fill it with water, let the filtration begin and then enjoy dispensing purified hot (great for teas, Ramen, cocoa and instant coffee), chilled or room temperature water. I'm definitely thinking about getting one for my desk here at the office and if you're stuck in a cubicle all day, this would be a cool addition. See less

The real problem with charcoal is, of course, it takes forever to get it lit. Well, there''s a cool new solution for you old-school charcoalers out there, the 60 Second Charcoal Starter ($80). Throw out the lighter fluid, because the 60 Second Charcoal Starter emits hot air at 1,290° F to get that charcoal going very quickly. Simply stick the metal tip of the unit into the charcoal and hold down the button until the charcoal sparks. Now remove the tip from the charcoal and continue to point it for 60 seconds.
