This stylish trash receptacle is imported from Japan and is an incredibly detailed replica of R2-D2. Step on R2's center "foot" and his dome swings wide to collect your expired TPS reports and leftover wookie dung. In fact here at the ThinkGeek rebel base we've been generating extra waste just for the pleasure of disposing it inside our favorite droid. Everything was going great until we emptied the trash and accidentally discarded some Death Star plans... then the Rebel Massassi Outpost on the fourth moon of Yavin got destroyed and things just went downhill from there. And now for something completely different.... a Scrabble keyboard! This keyboard was commissioned by a couple of friends of mine from back east (NJ) who are avid Scrabble players. Most of the keys are made from real Scrabble tiles that were all hand-beveled (truly an exercise in patience/masochism!) and built onto a USB, clicky, mechanical-switch keyboard. This keyboard was going into a Mac environment so I decided to use brushed aluminum for the casing and round all of the corners to keep with the sleek, simple Macintosh styling. Near the end of the build, I decided that the keyboard looked a little too minimalist so I added some silver hardware and a seam to put a slightly industrialized twist on the design. * 1/19/09 Due to the overwhelmingly positive responses I've received about this keyboard, I'm considering building a batch of them for sale in the near future. I like Captain Solo where he is! - (Jabba the Hutt) Tom Spina Designs have created the coolest desk in the galaxy with the Han Solo Frozen in Carbonite Desk. Owning a carbonite Han Solo prop is cool enough, but when the ultimate Star Wars collectible prop is converted into a desk for the office...well - wow! This incredible Empire Strikes Back themed desk is constructed of metal and fiberglass (sadly, not actual carbonite), has glowing orange panels straight out of Cloud City and is topped with a sturdy 1/2" thick glass table top.
