This simple, chic dress immediately struck me as the perfect item to wear on my next visit to my mom's hometown of Norwich, England. On our last visit, we saw the white horse of Westbury, shopped in London and Bath, indulged in Pimms, and explored Hyde Park. It was June, which is summer in the U.S., but I found myself frequently getting chilly in the U.K. That's why this black and grey striped, thinly knit, poshly pleated dress will be the ideal garment for a trip across the pond. In the morning, I'll wear it with a faux leather jacket, tights, and flat boots to explore new cities. In the evening, when I'm heading out on the town, I'll remove the jacket, then layer on necklaces, and add some hot heels. Maybe I'll throw on a wide belt, too! This dress is just so darn versatile.
