To be honest, I don't exactly know why I decided to go skydiving. It wasn't as though I felt my would be life incomplete without it. In fact, deep down, the thought of hurling myself out of a high up plane probably scared me. Nevertheless, I'd signed up to jump with my college's Skydiving Club. And, before I knew it, I was at the open door of an aircraft, over 13,000 feet in the air, clouds zooming by like a film in fast forward. Jump! I sailed out of the plane, attached to the white-haired, ex-Army paratrooper who was my guide. AHH! Falling, falling, falling, like the little figures on this brassy necklace by Monserat De Lucca.
