Previously available in other parts of the globe, Wacom's Bamboo pen tablet line has finally reached the U.S. For the most part, the Bamboo is replacing the Graphire line of tablets designed for mainstream consumers. These input devices are handy for writing or drawing on the computer for times when a mouse simply won't do. There are two models: the Bamboo Fun and the more basic Bamboo. The Bamboo Fun is available in four colors (black, silver, white, and blue) and two sizes: small (active area, about 6 by 3.5 inches), and medium (active area, about 8.5 by 5.5 inches). The basic Bamboo is available only in the small size and only in black. I evaluated a small black Bamboo Fun, and, I have to say, it lived up to its name. See less
