If you like historical fiction and mysteries you should try the Benjamin January series by Barbara Hambly. The first one is called "Free Man of Color". They are set in New Orleans in the 1830s and so far there are seven or so books in the series. I've read the first four and can't wait to go back to the library for more!! Although I've read numerous books throughout my lifetime, I only own a few books. Many of them are listed here. Others listed are books I'd like to possibly own soon.
