The pictures are facinating, but what makes the poster of this gallery believe that its the government’s job to “take care” of the people in the first place? This is a classic example of why Socialism and Communism don’t work. The people living in this town were depending on the government to take care of them everyday. Because of this, when the government collapsed, the citizens who ALLOWED themselves to be dependent on the government suddenly had to become self-sufficient in order to survive. They were NOT “abandoned”. These pictures are not a “sad reminder” of a once-occupied town, they’re a STERN warning of what happens when the people ask the government to take care of... See less
