I currently just love long circular medallion necklaces. Or this interpretation of a "medallion". Or whimsy trinket. Whichever :) An old fairytale in a pendant. New series of majestic, magical long necklaces, the forest nymphs collection. One of many to come. This whimsy ball medallion, is made of bead, and lace-like metal filigree. Vintage 15mm bead, (much larger then your average bead, more of a pendant size) rare lucite, matte with subtle sheen. A hard to find, medium sage jade green. Sage ball is topped with a gorgeous, antique, rose golden, a bit dusty or taupey in color, bead cap. Lace-like filigree and Victorian design. Highly unique, looks straight out the treasure box. Above the whimsy filigree capping, is a light taupe pearl. Has luminous dimensions in style, and is just the perfect top. Pearl measures 8-9mm. Necklace is 25 inches in length. Nautical is a favorite fashion style of mine. As well as etheral/french/whimsical, vintage, mixed with thrift whichever, there is something about sailors and the mysterious ocean. I wanted to capture that in an authenic design, without it looking like you went to san diego and bought a necklace from the giftshop. Opening clams and them revealing a pearl like in fairytales. Generating that imaganitive feel, gah, I just love. A beautiful little vintage clam shell, gold plated on its backside and a soft salmon pink on its front, it holds a tiny pearl. The clam measures under an inch. Alongside is a striking patina oval shaped locket. Vintage, and has a beautiful very slight glimmering sheen. Its so wonderfully whimsical. Locket is 1 inch. Comes on an antique dainty and fine cabled light brass chain, measuring aprox 18 inches. Corresponding lopster clasp. Toggle available upon request. A truly magical and beautiful piece.
