It is available in 2 versions, one featuring the orginal chromium plated steel metalwork and one featuring a much lighter titanium metalwork. The tensioning plate on the underside still bears the original patenting information retaining the word DEPOSÉ, as the patent for this model was first registered in Paris. Back then many of Brooks saddles in fact were exported to the continent for the use of racers in the tours. See less

I was impressed with the quality and contruction. Once fitted to my Colnago C40 (I know, but my bum was always sore with light weight carbons!!!) of we went. My wife was chirping the entire trip, just waiting for me to say it was stiff and uncomfortable. To her surprise and MINE, it was absolutely sublime!! Riding the "Rolls Royce" of saddles is something that every cyclist should try. My only problem now is my better half now wants the ladies version!! Forged alloy body is enveloped by an oversized outer carbon plate that increases torsional rigidity by a whopping 150%.
