My wife and I had to camp out at Target at 4AM last Sunday to get a Wii, and I have now had a few days to play Wii Sports, Zelda: Twilight Princess, Call of Duty3 and Rampage: Total Destruction on the Wii. All I can say is Wow! This is the way video gaming was meant to be. Aiming weapons has never been better or more intuitive. After playing the Wii for several hours I went back to an old-style controller to play on the PS2 and it felt like I had stepped back in time. The other video game console manufacturers simply don't get it. Pressing buttons is no substitute for imitating the real action, I don't care how hi-def the graphics might be. The graphics on the Wii are as good as you can get on a standard TV anyway. Game play is the real key to satisfying entertainment. I don't want to have to pause a game to look at the manual just to figure out how to swing a sword, I want to just swing! With the Wii, this is exactly what I can do.
