I know all the supporters who helped me win are also very grateful, on behalf of the various charities that are possibilities for the prize money donations. ~~ I'll be working on finalizing the donation allocations, so as soon as I receive the prize, I can send the money on to those organizations! Stay tuned at this page for news on which causes will receive the donations, as well as a tally of all the ones suggested -- for your own consideration for donations and support. Anyone who didn't get to vote before the contest ended, feel free to add your votes & comments now anyway. Or add a separate comment at the bottom of this page with your own favorite cause, and I'll add it to my Worthy Causes list as I have time. Here's an update on who's getting the money, as soon as I receive the check (expected very soon): At the contest closing date, the leader in the combined "Worthy Causes" poll (which won the Kaboodle contest) was ICAN. This organization ALSO received the largest number of mentions in all the comments! So it will get the largest portion of the donation. But the other two groups in the "Worthy Causes" poll, So Others Might Eat and The Nature Conservancy, also got many votes, so they will each receive a donation, too. Two other organizations also received a significant number of mentions in the comments and will also receive donations: Vegan Outreach and AAFSW. Soon I will post the full tally of causes/organizations mentioned in the comments; stay tuned. Don't forget to check out my Zazzle gallery, where proceeds further benefit some of these groups! If this poll wins the Grand Prize, I will donate 25% of the prize to ICAN. Part of the $ will be donated to support midwifery, and part of it will be donated to a cause for children in need.

If this poll wins the grand prize, I will donate part of the prize to AAFSW, part of it to CARE, and part of it to a local Brasila charity.

I personally could not live in Virginia because of their many anti-lgbt laws on the books.

With gas prices so high, it doesn't make since to live in the suburbs antmore. Its too much driving when you could hop on the subway, or walk. Never have a commute.

The leading poll site-wide (as far as I've found) has over 1500 votes. Come on, folks, the whole $800 prize will go to charity if I win -- I'm the only one pledging to do that, as far as I know. (Someone please inform me if I'm wrong.) Don't forget... See more

April 10: My leading poll has over 700 votes. Even if you're entered in the contest, if you don't think you can get that many votes by Saturday, you have nothing to lose by voting in my polls....

In addition to the organizations mentioned elsewhere on this page, other causes to be supported by the prize donation may include Vegan Outreach and Cornell College.

wow you have alot of votes urself who are the other 2 people with alot of votes im quite curious to find out.

haha i dont know how u found the people with alot of votes like 900 all i can find are people with like 100 votes or like you with like 300 votes. can ya link me to the "leaders" please. ps i voted for the middle poll, hope u can win though since u will donate to charity
