I would go with the flatiron, but I don't know about this one. If you're willing to spend a little bit more, you can get a SEDU for about $100 at folica.com

i would rather have the straightener but..i wouldnt get the chi. i love chis but they fry your hair. they are not 100% ceramic which ruins your hair. my favorite straightener EVER is the corioliss. its wonderful.

Jackets can go in and out of fashion but a good quality piece of equipment like a straightener could be more valuable.

this was a really hard choice. idk what kind of hair you have, or how often you straighten your hair. with me, i stopped straightening my hair and i found that my hair was a lot softer actually. but again, id have to know more.
