• Shopping List: Use this list for items you're thinking of getting for yourself or someone else.
• Wish List: This list is for those items you've been drooling over. Wish lists are interactive, which means others can reserve items you have added, making them fantastic for birthday, wedding, or baby shower gift lists. You can even set an occasion (such as Birthday, Wedding, etc.) and specify an end date.
• Top Picks: Create a numbered list of your favorites within a topic, such as your favorite movies, spring styles, or techie gadgets.
• Other/Random: Use this list for things you love, think are cool, already own, or just want to let others know about.
• Register! When you register on Kaboodle, the process leads you to a page where you can create a list by dragging and dropping products from the right side of the page onto the canvas area on the left. Before saving your list you can edit its name (it defaults to "My Wish List").
• Start from your signed-in Kaboodle homepage. On the top of your signed-in homepage (above your activity feed), you will see the words "Create New." Click on the "List" link next to it.
• Start from your profile page. Once you're signed in, go to "My Profile," on the right-hand side of the blue top navigation bar, and click on "My Lists" in the drop-down menu. Once on your lists page, click on the "Create New List" link to the right of your profile picture.
• Start from a product page. Each product page on Kaboodle has an "Add to List" link. Clicking that link allows you to add the product to an existing list (when you register you automatically get four default lists - all of which are empty) or to create a new list.
Once you begin a list, you will land on the List Editor page where you must name your list, choose a list type (shopping list, wish list, top picks, or other), and select the privacy setting. Adding a description is optional. Once you click "Submit," the fun really begins! To populate your list, drag and drop items from the Control Panel on the right side of the page onto the canvas area on the left. You can choose items from the "Brands" tab, "Editors Picks" tab, or use the Search box in the "Search" tab.• Use the Add to Kaboodle button - The simplest way to add items is with Kaboodle button. Once you add the button to your nav bar, you will actually see two buttons on the top of your browser. To add an item you see on any website, just click the Add to Kaboodle button (the icon featuring a "K" on a piece of paper with a small arrow pointing to it). The button automatically pulls essential information, including an image, price, and short description of the product and guides you to "filing" it into one of your Kaboodle lists.
• Use our bookmarklet - If you prefer not to add our browser buttons, you can add a bookmarklet to your bookmarks or favorites that works just like the Add to Kaboodle button.
• Copy items you see on Kaboodle - Kaboodle showcases millions of products added by other users. If you see something you like, click the "Add to my list" link to the right of the product to copy it to any one of your lists.
• Manually create a new item - To create a unique item, go to the list you want to add this unique item to. Once on that list's page, click the "Add New Item" link in the list header. Next, click on the radio button "By manually entering information and pictures from your computer." Enter title, description, tags, and other information as well as up to four images. This new item will look just like other items on your list, but it will not link out to a website.
• Your "My Lists" Page - Click on "My Lists" in the drop-down menu under "My Profile" (this is located on the right-hand side of the blue top navigation bar on every page). You can filter by public or private, or view all in the drop-down menu on the top of the page. You can also change the settings to view your lists in a grid or in list form. Note that a lock next to your list indicates the list is private.
• Your signed-in homepage - To the right of your activity feed, you will see a box with three tabs: Lists, Styleboards, and Tags. In the "Lists" tab, click on "All My Lists." Both public and private lists will appear.
• Shopping List: This list is typically for items you're thinking of getting yourself (because, hey, you deserve it!) or for someone else.
• Wish List: This list is for items you so desperately want. Wish Lists are interactive, allowing others to reserve the items you've added that they intend to purchase for you. You can set an occasion (such as birthday, wedding, etc.) and specify an end date, too!
• Top Picks: This list type allows you to create a numbered list of your favorites within a topic, such as your favorite movies, spring styles, or techie gadgets.
• Other/Random: Use this list for things you love, think are cool, already own or just want to let others know about.
Register! If you are not a registered Kaboodler, register! Once you've completed the two-step registration process, go to "My Profile" on the upper right-hand side of the top navigation bar and select "My Lists" from the drop-down menu. You'll see "My Weekly Shopping List" along with other default list types (including "My Wish List," "Things I Love," "If I Had a Million Dollars," and "My Recent Purchases"). Select "My Weekly Shopping List" and start adding items to it by dragging and dropping products from the Control Panel on right side of the page onto the canvas area on the left. (You can choose products from the "Brands" tab, "Editor's Picks" tab, or use the Search box in the "Search" tab.) Click the "Save" button when you are done.
Start from a weekly ad. Each product in the "Weekly Ads" subsection (located in the Sales & Stores area found on the top navigation bar) has an "Add to Shopping List" button. Clicking that button allows you to add the weekly-ad product to your weekly shopping list. To get to the "Weekly Ads" subsection, go to "Sales & Stores" (located on the top navigation bar) and select "Weekly Ads" from the drop-down menu.
Start from a product page. Each product page on Kaboodle has an "Add to List" link. Clicking that link allows you to add the product to any of your lists, including your weekly shopping list!
The weekly shopping list is special because it tracks deals you are interested in from our participating retailers' weekly ads—and makes the organization of your weekly shopping easier.
Unlike standard Kaboodle lists, weekly shopping lists allow you to add products from participating retailers' weekly ads—as well as any other products you like. They have another nifty special feature, too: They automatically remind you about any deals that you've added from any of our retailers' weekly ads 48 hours before they expire! On the flipside, because weekly ad products are programmed differently than the other products on our site, they cannot be added to or copied to a standard Kaboodle list.
Another bonus: Because this is the only list that allows you to add products from weekly ads, you are able to sort the list by "Current," "Expired," and "All." Simply click on these view settings at the top of the page.
Another difference between a weekly shopping list and a standard Kaboodle list is that you cannot organize the weekly shopping list. (Sorry!) But your weekly shopping list is automatically organized into sections by retailer; whether you add a product from a participating retailer's weekly ad or any other product from any retailer. A new section is created when you add a product from a retailer not-yet represented in your weekly shopping list and subsequent additions from that same retailer will be added to that retailer's section. Your most recent additions will push that retailer section to the top of your list with the most recently added product placed at the top of its appropriate section.
You also cannot change the name or description of your weekly shopping list. You can copy non-weekly-ad products from this list onto other lists (and visa versa), but you cannot copy weekly ad products to another list. You also cannot view your weekly shopping list in a grid or slideshow format. Finally, you cannot get a widget for your weekly shopping list.
The deal on the "Hot Deals" subsection: This subsection features current deals and exclusive promo codes. Here you can sort by "Most Popular" or "Newest Additions" by selecting either one from the drop-down menu at the top of the page. You can also narrow your search by categories listed on the left of the page. If you're searching for a particular deal, use the "Search Sales" box located at the bottom of the list of categories.
The score with the "Stores We Love" subsection: This is where to find the latest product releases from the some of the most popular retailers on Kaboodle!
The lowdown on the "Stores Directory": If you're interested in a specific retailer, this is the place for you. Here you can search for any retailer by category or by first letter (both located on the left side of the page) or search for the "Most Popular," "Most Recently Popular," or "Newest Additions" by using the drop-down menu at the top of the page. You can also use the handy "Search Stores" box located at the bottom left-hand side of the page.
The word on "Weekly Ads": Come here to save money on the products you need. Scan participating retailers' weekly ads—which you can view by page or products by clicking on the appropriate "View By" link at the top—and add any enticing deal to your weekly shopping list by clicking on the "Add to Shopping List" button below the product you want. Keep in mind that the deals expire every Sunday at midnight (12 a.m. PT), but those deals are replaced by new ones that will expire the following Sunday at midnight.

Type a short message and click the "Send" button.
