SANTA CLARA, CA - August 29, 2006 - Kaboodle, a free online service that simplifies collecting, organizing and sharing information on the web, today introduced a variety of new features designed to enhance the user experience and foster community participation. This comprehensive upgrade makes it easy for consumers to customize the look and feel of their Kaboodle collections and share them across the web on blogs, social networks and other sites. Other new features include the display of best price recommendations, the ability to create and join groups of common interests for social networking and collaboration, and enhancements to Kaboodle's one-click functionality. With Kaboodle consumers can organize and share virtually all aspects of their lives - from shopping and travel to weddings and home decorating projects.

The upgrade is the most extensive since Kaboodle's initial launch at DEMO 2006 in February. In conjunction with this release, Kaboodle today announced an agreement with Shopping.com to integrate the world's largest global product catalog into Kaboodle so consumers can quickly access product and pricing information as they shop across the web. Shopping.com's product information for millions of products from thousands of merchants is synchronized with relevant Kaboodle items collected by the Kaboodle community. Consumers clicking on an item's "Lowest Prices" link will be shown the best price and product information for that item and other related items.

CUSTOMIZED VIEWS

Kaboodle users can now customize the presentation of their Kaboodle collections in a variety of ways. The most flexible option is the new Collage View, which allows users to creatively display items by dynamically moving them around on a page to create a freeform layout. For example, a user could grab items from a shopping collection and rearrange them to create wedding ensembles or layout the matching furniture in their living room. MyCollectibles users can visually layout their collections of coins, stamps or teddy bears using the collage view. Once created, the collage can be turned into a Flash-based widget for embedding onto blogs, social networks and other sites. The widget not only displays a Kaboodle collection but also allows other people to contribute additional items into the collection.

"The Collage View lets people create visual collections of the items they are passionate about and put them anywhere on the web where they want to express themselves," Chandra said. "By giving our users the ability to rearrange their Kaboodle collections, we’re unleashing their creativity and enabling them to showcase their personalities, as well as their collections."

Kaboodle also offers users several new views that enable personalization of Kaboodle collections:

• Itinerary - Create group or personal travel plans by easily collecting hotels, activities, flights and other items of interest and organizing them by specific dates and times.
• Slideshow - Create a slideshow that can be played on Kaboodle or any web site, featuring images with captions easily organized by Kaboodle users.
• Grid - A visual format that enables users to showcase their Kaboodle collections as a more graphical layout just like a collector organizing their coins or stamps in a glass case.

KABOODLE GROUPS

Collecting and organizing information on the web increasingly is a social activity, and with the new Kaboodle Groups any user can create or join a group formed around common interests where members can collaborate on Kaboodle collections, discuss items and highlight premiere collections as well contribute to a group collection. Members of Kaboodle Groups can also vote on favorite items and sponsor contests.

One unique feature of Kaboodle Groups is the ability to create a shared, dream or best of collection. For example, by creating a group about a dream Hawaii vacation, users can nominate items for the dream Hawaii vacation. The Kaboodle community can vote and surface the best ideas for a Hawaii dream vacation. In addition, the group members can easily view and copy items from one another’s Kaboodle collections on the topic, collaborate to create new Kaboodle collections, and vote and comment on the best Hawaii attractions, travel options, resources and websites.
